The women of Amaji Umuowuna village in Awo-Omamma, Oru East LGA, were pleasantly surprised by the visit of the “All-Dry” Menstrual Cup Team on November 30, 2025. Their arrival brought joy and excitement, courtesy of the sponsors—Chief Dr. Loreta Chukwumerem, Aka Chukwu Di Ya. And Lady Anthonia Chukwumerem both illustrious daughters of the community currently based in the United States.
Motivated by their passion for women’s health and charitable service, the sponsors facilitated the outreach of the “All-Dry” Menstrual Cup Team, headed by Chief Akudee Calista Duru, to St. Christopher Catholic Church, Amaji Umuowuna. The purpose of the event was to distribute the innovative All-Dry Menstrual Hygiene Cup free of charge and to ensure that women in their home community benefit from its health advantages.
During the programme, the Team educated the women on essential menstrual hygiene practices. They demonstrated proper hand-washing techniques, explained how to correctly insert and use the silicone cup, and taught the process of sterilizing the cup after each use. The women were also informed that the menstrual cup remains securely in place during urination and sexual intercourse, and that each reusable cup can last up to five to ten years with proper care.
The enthusiastic participants asked numerous questions, all of which were addressed satisfactorily by the team. At the end of the session, the women expressed deep appreciation to the sponsors—Dr. Chukwumerem Duru and Lady Anthonia Chukwumerem for their generosity and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon them.
The “All-Dry” delegation was led by Dr. Chuka Amukamara and Nurse Matron Winnie Ahanonu, among others, representing the distributor, Chief Akudee Calista Duru, whose company markets the product across Africa.
