The Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State on Ethics, Hon. Uzoma Nwokorie, has announced the burial arrangements for his late wife, Princess Mrs. Norah Ezenwanyi Nwokorie (née Njemanze), who passed away on December 24, 2025 at Heritage Kidney and Medical Care Abuja.
Hon. Nwokorie disclosed that the funeral has been scheduled for April 10, 2026, following consultations with family members, who agreed that there was no need to further delay the burial. He expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his unwavering support throughout the period of his wife’s illness of prolonged battle with Kidney failure.
While reflecting on the loss, Hon. Nwokorie described his late wife as his “beloved”, his "best friend " and expressed hope that the family would find the strength to recover from her sudden death. He also assured that their children remain in good spirit despite the loss.
The Special Adviser extends his appreciation to friends, relatives, and well-wishers who stood by the family during the difficult period over 3 years of her battle with kidney failure, he described the kidney disease as demonic. He further decried the growing rate of kidney failures in Nigeria as alarming and a dangerous epidemic.
He prayed for God’s blessings upon all who offered their support during the period of the medical challenge.
Late Princess Mrs. Norah Ezenwanyi Nwokorie, aged 43, is survived by three children. She will be remembered for her cheerful disposition and kind-hearted nature.
Dignitaries expected at the burial include the Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who has already extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
