YULETIDE SEASON: NDUBUEZE DISTRIBUTES BAGS OF RICE TO IMO NORTH CONSTITUENTS

In the spirit of the Christmas season, the Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Patrick C. Ndubueze, FNSE has distributed bags of rice to constituents across the district, beginning with Okigwe North Federal Constituency, which comprises Okigwe, Onuimo, and Isiala Mbano Local Government Areas.

The distribution, which marks the first phase of the Senator’s end-of-year outreach, is rooted in his faith and commitment to the welfare of his people, especially during the festive period. The exercise took place at designated distribution points across the senatorial district and forms part of a broader initiative aimed at spreading hope and easing the effects of prevailing economic challenges.

Beneficiaries were carefully selected to reflect inclusiveness and fairness, cutting across religious, social, and community-based groups. Among those who received bags of rice in this phase were the Catholic Church, Anglican Communion, Methodist Church, and Pentecostal churches across the zone. Others include leaders of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Widows’ Associations, security agencies, inmates and staff of the Correctional Centre, the Catholic Women Organization (CWO), the Farmers Association of Nigeria, market association leaders, traditional rulers, town union president-generals, local government councillors, as well as party leaders at ward and local government levels.

The wide reach of the distribution underscores Senator Ndubueze’s inclusive approach to governance and his resolve to ensure that no segment of society is left out during the season of joy. Although he coordinated the exercise from Abuja, the Senator used the occasion to extend warm Christmas greetings to the people of Imo North, urging them to celebrate in love, peace, and unity.

He further noted that the rice distribution is only the first phase of the intervention, with additional palliatives and empowerment programmes planned for the coming months. Senator Ndubueze also expressed gratitude to religious leaders, traditional institutions, and local coordinators for their support in ensuring a smooth and transparent distribution process.

In a related development, the distribution of thousands of bags of rice has been widely applauded across Okigwe Zone and beyond. Many beneficiaries have described the gesture as novel, thoughtful, and a practical demonstration of compassionate leadership.

As the festive season continues, Senator Patrick C. Ndubueze has reaffirmed his commitment to placing the people of Imo North first—not only through legislative representation but also through meaningful grassroots interventions that positively impact lives.
