The Imo State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma, has declared a man identified as Chief Morocco Oparaugo wanted in connection with alleged organ-harvesting activities.
According to police sources, Chief Oparaugo is suspected to be the owner of a hotel located along the Aba–Owerri Expressway, where victims allegedly kidnapped from the area are said to have been held before being killed. He is also accused of managing a mortuary where the mutilated bodies of the victims were reportedly deposited.
The suspect, who hails from Umuhu Community in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, is believed to be a key figure in a criminal network allegedly involved in organ harvesting. Police investigations indicate that both the hotel and the mortuary were used as part of the operation.
Chief Oparaugo is currently on the run, and authorities have intensified efforts to locate and apprehend him. The police have described the alleged acts as serious crimes against humanity.
Members of the public who have any information regarding his whereabouts are urged to report immediately to the nearest police station or police command anywhere in the country.
The Imo State Police Command has assured residents that investigations are ongoing and that all those involved in the alleged crimes will be brought to justice.
