Senator Patrick Ndubueze has described the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, as a “Project Governor,” citing his numerous infrastructural and developmental achievements across the state.
Speaking during the governor’s 67th birthday celebration held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Owerri, Senator Ndubueze said the occasion was not only a time to celebrate Governor Uzodimma’s life but also an opportunity to appreciate his remarkable contributions to the development of Imo State.
The senator highlighted the extensive reconstruction of roads across Owerri, the state capital, noting in particular the MCC/Chukwuma Nwoha Street, which he described as a former death trap before the governor’s intervention. He added that similar road projects have been executed in Orlu and other parts of the zone.
While appraising the governor’s performance, Senator Ndubueze also pointed to other landmark projects, including the New Government House Annex and the recently approved University of Technology, Innovation and Science.
He further expressed gratitude to Governor Uzodimma for supporting his emergence into the National Assembly, which enabled him to vigorously pursue the bill for the establishment of the University of Okigwe. According to the senator, the bill was eventually signed into law by the President, and the governor subsequently approved the establishment of a Chair for the Faculty of Engineering in the university.
Senator Ndubueze praised Governor Uzodimma’s leadership style and commitment to liberating Imo State through purposeful governance, noting that his efforts would continue to yield positive results for the people.
While wishing the governor a glorious 67th birthday, the senator prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him in good health, long life, and greater heights in service. He described Governor Uzodimma as resourceful and visionary, reaffirming his characterization of him as a true “Project Governor.”
