The Senator representing the people of Imo North Senatorial District in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, Senator Patrick Ndubueze, on January 2, 2026, held his annual Thanksgiving Mass at his country home in Umualumoke, Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.
The Thanksgiving Mass came on the heels of what the Senator described as an intensive and impactful 2025 legislative year, marked by robust empowerment programmes executed through his constituency office to help alleviate the challenges faced by his constituents across Okigwe Zone.
The Mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Ebo Kingsley and Rev. Fr. Rafael Nmadu, whose ministration was characterized by deep moments of gratitude, prayers, and praise worship. The event attracted family members, friends, political associates, and members of the host community, all of whom gathered to thank God for life, good health, and continued progress in Okigwe Zone.
In his remarks, Senator Ndubueze glorified God for His unwavering grace and for the milestones achieved in service to the people. He described the annual Thanksgiving as a personal covenant and a conscious effort to return all glory to God for the journey thus far.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and celebration as attendees joined in acknowledging God’s hand upon the Senator’s life and leadership. Over the years, the annual Thanksgiving Mass has become a symbol of humility, faith, and sincere appreciation to God for His mercies.
The Senator reaffirmed his commitment to continue serving the people of Imo North with integrity, guided by divine wisdom and strength. In a related development, Senator Ndubueze also attended the burial ceremony of the late Hon. Engr. Nze Innocent Okwaranowai Agonsi at Okwe, Onuimo Local Government Area. The Senator arrived in the company of his aides and joined family members, friends, and well-wishers at the funeral Mass to thank God for a life well spent.
The church was filled to capacity with dignitaries from within and outside the state, as the late Hon. Agonsi was celebrated for his remarkable life of service. He passed on at the age of 90 years.
In his tribute, Senator Ndubueze described the deceased as a pillar of wisdom, integrity, and community leadership, whose legacy would continue to inspire generations. Addressing the bereaved family and mourners, the Senator offered words of comfort and faith, urging them to keep their hope in God even in the face of sorrow.
He noted that the late Hon. Agonsi had “finished his course” honourably and had successfully passed the baton to his children and the younger generation.
